Miami International Airport has been named as the Best Airport for Layovers by Global Traveler during its annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards.
The global award follows MIA’s ranking last month in Food & Wine magazine’s annual list of Top 10 US Airports for Food and Drink.
“Congratulations to the entire MIA team for once again earning this global recognition for outstanding service,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
“As MIA’s $9 billion Modernization in Action Plan continues to transform MIA and enhance the airport experience with new shops, restaurants, and lounges, MIA is setting a new standard – and I’m confident this is just the beginning of many more honours to come.”
The results are based on a survey of Global Travelers readers over a five month period ending January 30, 2025.
